1959
Daniel Roullier founds TIMAC, which later becomes TIMAC AGRO, in Saint-Malo, France. For the very first time, marine calcium is processed industrially. Its extremely fine grinding ensures optimum absorption by the soil.
1970
Launch of TIMAC AGRO on the NPK market. After nourishing the soil, TIMAC AGRO turns its attention to plant nutrition.
1971
Construction of the first plant: the Quai Intérieur in Saint Malo.
1972
TIMAC AGRO passes the 100 mark in field sales reps.
1978
Opening of TIMAC AGRO's first international subsidiary in Switzerland
1984
Creation of the Spanish subsidiary and acquisition of the first international granulation site in Lodosa, Spain.
1985
TIMAC AGRO launches into solutions for animal production, developing the first nutritional block based on lithothamnion and algae.
1987
TIMAC AGRO revolutionizes the fertilizer market with technological fertilizers. The classic function of nutrition is complemented by a technology that stimulates the metabolic functions of plants.
1989
TIMAC AGRO creates the biostimulants market for field crops to limit the impact of climatic stress.
1997
TIMAC AGRO arrives in Brazil and acquires a granulation plant in Rio Grande.
2001
Invention of the N-PROCESS. TIMAC AGRO revolutionizes the nitrogen market with a technology that harnesses the complexity of the industrial combination of nitrogen in ammonia and urea form, allowing for gradual diffusion.
2004
Invention of ACTIPOST 360: a solution that valorizes livestock effluents and reduces their environmental impact.
2010
Invention of TOP-PHOS. TIMAC AGRO revolutionizes the phosphate fertilizer market with the development of a protected phosphorus that guarantees superior efficiency.

Opening of the Roullier World Innovation Center in Saint-Malo.

TIMAC AGRO consolidates its pioneering position with the DNA concept, leading to a new generation of biostimulants.

TIMAC AGRO realizes the immense potential of electrical soil fertility and develops ENERGEO, a dedicated solution for REDOX potential.

More than 4,000 TIMAC AGRO representatives are present in the field alongside our agricultural customers around the world.
Created in 1959 by Daniel Roullier, TIMAC AGRO is at the origin of the Groupe Roullier adventure. Today, thanks to its 10,000 employees, 70% of whom work internationally, Groupe Roullier achieves a consolidated turnover of €4.1bn.
